Wes from SC Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hello! My friend and I are wanting to do Galaxy's edge for the entire day on October 7th. That is the only part of the Disneyland park we will going to that day. What tickets do we need to buy? Also do you have an itinerary for the perfect day?

Bright Suns, Wes! What a very special visit you have coming up to the Happiest Place on Earth - and so soon!

Thank you for reaching out to planDisney with this out-of-this-world question! Entrance to Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland Park requires a regular theme park ticket and a Disneyland Park reservation for the day of your visit, even if you will only be spending time in Batuu.

As for the perfect day in Batuu, food is always at the top of my priority list. I would begin with a Morning Ronto Wrap from Ronto Roasters. It's seriously so good and unlike anything you've ever tasted on this planet! Menus are subject to change, but, no matter what, there's always something tasty and unique to try in Batuu! Docking Bay 7 is my go-to for something fresh and interesting for lunch and I like to end the day at Oga's Cantina for its unique dining experience and specialty concoctions!

Now get ready for your secret mission, Wes. Rise of the Resistance is a thrilling first-of-its-kind adventure and an absolute must! I recommend purchasing a Lightning Lane Single Pass for this attraction or experiencing as early in the day as possible for the shortest wait.

You and your friend might also want to create your very own custom BB-series at the Droid Depot or lightsaber at Savi's Workshop! Reservations are required for Savi's Workshop however no reservations are needed at the Droid Depot! Just roll right in and get to work on your new droid-pal! Beep Bop Boop! Tip: If you'd like to keep your hands free to pilot the Millennium Falcon, take advantage of the complimentary Droid Daycare after completing your creation. Just make sure to hold on to your receipt and plan to pick up your droid before the park closes that same day.

As for an extra adventure in Galaxy's Edge, join Boba Fett and go Bounty Hunting! Bounty Hunting is a Star Wars-themed "hot and cold" game in Batuu using your MagicBand+ and smartphone. Across from the Droid Depot there's a kiosk where you'll get assigned a target, then your MagicBand+ will give you color/vibrating clues as you get closer or farther. My son had so much fun doing this on our most recent visit to a galaxy far, far away! Tip: Try at night!

Speaking of night, an incredible finale to your day would be to experience the fireworks show Fire of the Rising Moons, available on select nights, as well as the brand-new Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga. For a Star Wars fan, like my son, this is an incredible projection show that tells the remarkable story of the Skywalkers which wows us both. We were told by a friendly Cast Member that the best viewing spot for both of these nighttime entertainment shows was up against the back wall facing the Millennium Falcon, nearest the stairs. She said we wanted to be able to see across all the spires. She was right. The view was perfect! Check the Disneyland app for showtimes on the day of your visit, Wes, if you'd like to embark on a storytelling adventure across the galaxy.

I hope this has been helpful for you in your planning, Wes, and that you have so much fun immersed in the Disneyland magic.

May the force be with you,
    McCayla

Hello from the Pacific Northwest! I'm McCayla, a wife and mom dreaming of adventure in the great wide somewhere, yet also completely content watching Toy Story from the couch. My love of Disneyland began as a little girl on Peter Pan's Flight and only grows with each visit. But even when I'm not physically at the Happiest Place on Earth, I truly feel that same joy when I can help others (YOU!) experience the magic of Disneyland Resort too.
