Hi! My friend and I will be visiting WDW in April - staying at the Polynesian as DVC members. She has a service animal; what do I need to do in order for him to stay in our room at the resort?

    Hello Chris,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for asking us such an important question about your upcoming stay next month at the beautiful Disney's Polynesian Village Resort with your dear friend and their super helpful furry-pal!
To help make your stay at Walt Disney World Resort extra magical you will find there are many Services for Guests with Disabilities including the convenience to welcome leashed or harnessed Service Animals both in the Disney Theme Parks and at Resort hotels too.
On your behalf I just spoke with a knowledgable Cast Member by dialling the number for Non-Reservation Questions contained within this Walt Disney World Resort Phone Directory who happily explained that Guests are more than welcome to include their service animal onto any Disney Resort hotel reservation and this can be done either at the point of booking or at least 7-10 days prior to Resort check-in.  Additionally upon arrival and check-in to any Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guests with service animals are required to provide their furry-pal's service animal certification documents.
Wishing you and your dear friend an extra enchanted upcoming April visit to the magic of Walt Disney World Resort.
    ~ Jane
