Greetings from the
Valley of Mo'ara, Helen! Oops, I mean, hello from planDisney! I’m glad you’ve stopped by with your question.
Helen, as a guest who loves traveling with my kids BUT equally loves a quick Walt Disney World Resort trip with only my husband, I appreciate this question. As two adult travelers, there is no end of options, so let’s jump into some ideas.
Like Chef Remy, my days are often centered around food, so I’ll start with a few of my favorites for your consideration. If you enjoy spicy options and are planning to visit Magic Kingdom Park, check out
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen located near the world-famous Jungle Cruise! Now, if you’d like to take a break from dining inside the park, one of my favorite restaurants is nearby at Disney’s Contemporary Resort:
California Grill. With gorgeous views and amazing food, this is my “go-to” restaurant when my husband and I visit alone.
Helen, if you’ll be visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, you’ll find one of my favorite Quick-Service options on Walt Disney World property:
Satu'li Canteen located in Pandora- World of Avatar. I love the customizable bowls and the options for both indoor or outdoor seating.
Since you’re visiting at the end of October, you’ll not only be in time to experience the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Walt Disney World Resort, but the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival! Helen, my husband and I are planning to visit this October as well and our day at EPCOT will likely consist of sampling lots of savory (and sweet) treats around the World Showcase in lieu of a larger meal. If you find you WOULD like to sit and relax a bit, one of our favorite restaurants to escape the Florida heat is
Le Cellier Steakhouse located in the Canada Pavilion.
Helen, this is just a small sampling of ideas to jump-start your planning. I encourage you to visit the
Panel Extras section of the planDisney website and read the article, “What Would I Order?” to get even more inspiration. Keep in mind that you’re already in your window to
secure Advanced Dining Reservations and since October is bound to be a busy time of year, I encourage you to make those reservations as soon as possible.
If you have any additional questions as your trip is getting closer please don’t hesitate to come on back to ask your new friends hEAR at planDisney.
Lauren
