A friend told me that on her recent trip to HS, one little girl got to get a rose or participate in the Beauty & the Beast show. Is that randomly selected or can you make arrangements ahead for your child to be it? We're going with 2 daughters next mon

    Hi Lorraine,

It's magical moments like the one that you described that make WDW special for so many families. It's the complete randomness of Cast Member kindness that puts me in awe!

Participation as you described is usually selected by random. For instance, my husband and I were at the front of the line at Beauty and the Beast many years ago. We were celebrating our anniversary. A Cast Member asked if anyone was celebrating a special occasion and we raised our hands. We were escorted to private, roped off seats in the stadium. Four for a Dollar (a group that performed a pre-show) called us up to the stage and sang "When You Wish Upon a Star" to us. Even after all these years, I remember how special that moment was because it was so completely unexpected. I still have the certificate they gave us for our "certifiably magical moment"!

I can tell you that sometimes Cast Members will select children in the audience because they are there with the Make A Wish foundation, on a class trip, wearing an outrageous hat, or just because they were there early in line. It's the randomness of the selection that makes it fair for all guests!

Your daughters are sure to enjoy the show and will find their own magical moments throughout their trip!
