A friend told me that he can purchase disney tix w/his retired military discount for my upcoming trip. He won't be on the trip with me, can I use these tix? I read some info that the person from the military has to be at Disney w/you to activate the tix?

    Hello Sharon!

One of the things we love the most about Disney's Armed Forces Salute discount is the ability to purchase tickets for our family and friends that accompany us on our vacations.

The information you read is correct, for the most part.  In order to activate the tickets, a military ID must be presented.  Tickets purchased at military facilities are not activated at time of purchase.  If the tickets were purchased at a Walt Disney World Resort ticketing window, they will be activated and ready to use, and the military ID would not need to be presented at the park turnstiles.

I hope this helps, Sharon!  Please come back and see us again real soon.
