My friend is taking her 3 year old to WDW in January & hasn't been in 15 years. Any suggestions for a magical experience for a 3 year old girl at the parks? Also, where can I find height requirements for rides?

Hi, Darby! How wonderful that you are standing in as your friend's Fairy Godmother to help guide her vacation planning! I have some thoughts to share that can make sure the magic is endless for her little one.

Have your friend head to this Disney Parks Blog Post detailing the height requirements for various attractions. She can also use the My Disney Experience app to filter attractions by height and age group in each park. Be sure she makes FastPass+ selections for each sure-to-be favorite experience! Also, Rider Switch is a great way to make sure everyone in the group is able to have fun, even if the little princess is not yet able to ride.

I always recommend to my friends traveling with little ones to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel for ease of transportation. When my girls were younger, I found our vacations to be much more pleasant if we were able to take a break mid-day to rest. Staying at a Resort hotel makes this very easy to manage. If her daughter is an early riser, then she may want to make use of this and arrive early to each park to make use of the first few, less crowded hours. If she does not bring her own stroller, she will definitely want to rent one at the parks so those little feet will not get too tired.

If they are able, your friend may want to plan to extend their vacation. We found that alternating two park days followed by a day at our Resort hotel to be the most magical experience. There is so much to do at the Resort hotels, such as Disney Junior-themed parties, poolside movies, and campfires.

I hope this helps your friend start some great plans for their stay. Feel free to stop by again if you have any other questions or would like more tips!
