    My friend and I are taking our girls to Animal Kingdom for their birthdays October 1st. They want to have their faces painted (like animals of course)! To plan, can you share when painting opens and AK locations. Note: AK opens at 8a for resort guests.

    What an exciting birthday adventure you have planned for the girls! Exploring Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and getting your face painted sounds like an unforgettable birthday celebration to me! In the past, I have seen face painting booths in both the Oasis area in front of Tree of Life and near Haramabe Market in Africa. It has been my experience that not all merchandise booths and kiosks open for morning Extra Magic Hours and that may be the case the day you plan to visit. When you arrive at the theme park, I would confirm the location and operating times of the booths, as both are subject to change without notice between now and October.
     
    Also, be sure to pick up each girl a birthday button from Guest Relations. These buttons are a fun way to let Cast Members and other Guests know the girls are celebrating their big day, and you never know when a little extra birthday pixie-dust may come their way!
