My friend and I are taking our very "active" 3YO boys to DW 9/29 for 2 days. We're going to MK one full day. What do you suggest we do the other day? Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios? Or do MK both days?

Hi Shannon!  I have a wonderful 3 1/2 year old grandson so will answer this from our experiences with him.  If your boys love animals then I would suggest you visit the Animal Kingdom park on your second day.  It is a large park so they will have plenty of room to run and explore!  One of our favorite and often forgotten places in this park is Rafiki's Planet Watch.  You can catch the train to this great location by the Kilimanjaro Safari.  Once you arrive the kids can enjoy the petting area, get up close and touch some exotic animals like alligators, watch the vet in action, and many other things.

The safari is outstanding and the two walking trails, Pangani Forest and Maharajah Jungle Trek give guests the opportunity to view great animals such as the gorillas and tigers. It's Tough To Be a Bug is a cute show but young children can be afraid of the large bug that comes out in front of the audience. If you want to try this be sure and sit in the back on the far left side as the bug is in front on the right.

DinoLand will be a popular place for the boys with the Boneyard a place where they can dig and play to their hearts desire for as long as you want them to.  Here you will also find the Triceratops Spin ride and the great show, Finding Nemo-the Musical.  The other show in this park is the Festival of the Lion King and it is my all time must see attraction in this park.  It is next to the greeting trails where the kids can meet and greet some of their favorite characters.

With all that said if you aren't able to see and experience everything you had hoped to at the Magic Kingdom then by all means return to this park for the second day.  It is hard to know how the crowds will be and let your boys determine what they want to do the most.  You can find great things to see and do in all four parks for all ages so you can't go wrong with any decision you make!
