I have a friend who has suggested my family utilize her Disney time share. This is our very first Disney trip with our three children (two 11 yr olds and one 10 yr old). Will I still be able to purchase a dining plan?

    Hi Katie!

Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort! I am so excited just thinking about how much fun you and your family are going to have on your first visit.

It sounds like you have a pretty awesome friend who has offered you the use of their time share. If you are in fact referring to the Disney Vacation Club, then you will absolutely be able to add the dining plan. Your friend who is the Disney Vacation Club member can add it when he or she makes the reservation for you. If you are interested in checking out the different dining plan options, you can take a look and make your decision so your friend can take care of adding it to your reservation.

When making a resort reservation, the only way to add the dining plan is to book a Magic Your Way package which includes park tickets and the dining plan. The exception to this rule is only for Disney Vacation Club members who are not required to add park tickets when choosing to add the dining plan.

I hope this will be your first of many visits to Walt Disney World Resort. You just might love it so much that you leave as a Disney Vacation Club member yourself!
