We have a friend staying at Fort Wilderness. We want to come visit him for the day. Can we bring our own golf cart?

Howdy, Michelle! I hope you're having a wonderful summer here in the Sunshine State! Thank you so much for motoring over to planDisney with your question!

My family plans a stay in a cozy cabin at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground as often as we can, and believe me, a golf cart is always our preferred mode of transportation! I love exploring this amazing Resort in a golf cart, and I think it's a great idea to bring your cart along when you visit your pal in the Wilderness. I know that registered Guests of Fort Wilderness are allowed to operate their own golf carts around the property when they stay, and I'm not seeing any mention of restrictions to Guests coming for a day visit on the posted golf cart rules. My best advice is to have your friend pop over to the Reception Outpost at the front of the Resort and ask a Cast Member there if you'll be permitted to bring your cart. They'll be able to give you the most up-to-date information so you can be absolutely sure.

I hope your day at the Fort is full of rootin' tootin' fun, Michelle! Be sure to mosey on by and see us again if you have any other questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
