My friend Stacey P. said to ask you a ? so would you suggest a restaurant in EPCOT we could have dinner and watch Illuminations. And will we be able to see fireworks while at Cind. Royal Table Dinner?Thank you- best to you, M

    Maria:

I'm so honored that you've come to the Mom's Panel!

You can see Illuminations from three restaurants at EPCOT:  Rose and Crown (England in the World Showcase), Tokyo Dining (the sushi restaurant in Japan), or the counter-service Cantina outside Mexico.

Tokyo Dining is my favorite choice of these because I'm a sushi fan.  They also serve tempura and a few teriyaki dishes, but the sushi is their strongpoint.  Although I've eaten at over 55 restaurants at Disney, Rose and Crown is not one of them....you can see its menu at www.allears.net under dining.  Before choosing the Cantina, I'd actually recommend eating somewhere like Biergarten, Le Cellier, or Bistro de Paris (which, by the way, has tables for two by the window, but there may be trees obstructing a full view of the fireworks) and going outside for the show.

As for Cinderella's Royal Table, unfortunately, the fireworks are above the castle and there is mostly stained glass looking out.  It wouldn't be a good choice for fireworks viewing at Magic Kingdom.  Again, enjoy your meal and then head back down Main Street to find a spot.  My favorite is inside the traffic circle.  Then you're not colliding with shoppers coming in and out of the stores along Main Street!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
