Hello, Kristi! A Disney Cruise Line
vacation with friends and family is truly magical! It's wonderful that your generous friends want to share their placeholders with you. I'm delighted you reached out to planDisney for assistance!
Each stateroom booked must include at least one person's name from the original reservation. You are correct; one room would have to be in your friend’s name and the other her husband’s. I promise there are no bed checks, so your family can sleep together in one stateroom.
Once both staterooms are booked, you’ll want to double-check that they are connected so you can easily make plans together. Navigate to the "Already Booked" tab on the
Disney Cruise Line website, click the drop-down arrow next to your reservation number, and choose "Add and Link Reservations." Type in one person’s name, date of birth, and reservation number from the stateroom you want to link. Once connected, coordinating plans is a breeze!
The person with the highest Castaway Club level in each stateroom can book activities for the entire group once their
booking window opens. The window opens 123 days in advance for Pearl, 120 days for Platinum, 105 days for Gold, 90 days for Silver, and 75 days for first-time cruisers. So, if your friends are Silver Castaway Club Members, and one of them is in each stateroom, they can book reservations for everyone 90 days before sailing.
I hope you have a great time planning your Disney Cruise! You may enjoy listening to the
planDisney Podcast, especially the episode for first-time cruisers. Please sail back to us if you have more questions before the big day arrives.
SEAS the adventure!
