My friend with severe COPD, her great granddaughter and I are staying at AA Finding Nemo suite. We’ve reserved a scooter. Is this a good resort choice could considering her disability? Would another resort be a better choice? We’ll be there 8 days.

    Howdy Beth!

Welcome back to planDisney!  It is always exciting to see a guest stop back by and share more great questions with us!  Thank you for sharing your questions with us, Beth!

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is a fun and whimsical resort hotel filled with some of your favorite larger-than-life Pixar friends!  I recently visited this resort hotel with an ECV and loved that everything was very ECV friendly!  This Disney Resort Collection Hotel offers ECV friendly elevators, ample sidewalks, easy access to quick service options, shopping, the Disney Skyliner, Walt Disney World Resort transportation buses, and so much more!  Since the rooms are super spacious, your friend will have plenty of space to store the ECV in the evening to re-charge for your next day’s adventure!  I had no problem getting around at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort on my ECV, and I know your friend will enjoy her visit!  Most all of the Disney Resort Collection Hotels are very ECV friendly. Still, since your friend is bringing her little Mouseketeer, I think this resort hotel will be “Practically Perfect” for everyone!

I am sure you are counting down the days until you are “Making Dreams Come True” during Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary!  This 18-month once-in-a-lifetime celebration will be filled with EARidescent excitement, and you will be visiting just in time to enjoy all the festivities!  I know Mickey can throw a party, and I can’t wait to see everything he is planning for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration!”  To stay informed of everything to see and do during this EPIC celebration, go to “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” and the “Disney Parks Blog” websites.  These websites will keep you up-to-date on everything!

If you have any more questions as you continue to plan your unforgettable vacation, please come back to planDisney!  We are always here to help you with all your planning questions, Beth!
