Hey there, Ashley, and welcome to planDisney!
Your runner is so lucky to have a friend in you while they tackle the
Disney Princess Half Marathon. In my time as a panelist, it always warms my heart to see our little family organizing to support each other at
runDisney Events. I talked to a couple of friends, and they've delivered with some great tips for you!
Based on the race course and how close some of the viewing locations are, I think it would be a bit tough to get to all of the locations. But after checking out the
spectator viewpoints and conferring with a few panelist friends who both run and give moral support, I'd say you can make it to a couple of locations so your friend can see your face as they zoom by. The consensus is that your first stop should be
Magic Kingdom. It's a super popular location that tends to fill up fast, so be sure to get there bright and early. Once they've passed you by, hustle to catch the Monorail. To get to EPCOT, you'll hop aboard at Magic Kingdom, transfer at the Ticket and Transportation Center, and ride on to EPCOT, where Cast Members will be able to direct you to the finish line located at the EPCOT Eve parking lot.
Pro-tip: It can be tough to know your athlete's exact location when they're taking advantage of all the fun character meet and greets and photo opportunities during their race. Have them share their location with you via a smart device. You'll be able to keep up with their progress every step of the way.
Ashley, I hope you have a blast shouting yourself hoarse for your runner. After all, that's what friends are for. If you have any other questions, please
come back and see us!Happy planning!
