I have a friend who will be a runner in the Princess Half Marathon and she has concerns about staying offsite. I have encouraged her to consider accommodations on property but it may not be possible. Any advice I can offer on offsite transportation?

    Hi Tiffany,

Thanks for stopping by.  How exciting that your friend is embarking upon her first Disney Princess Half Marathon!  I have crossed the finish line at several runDisney events, including the "Princess" and can tell you, first-hand, that there is nothing like a Disney race!  In fact, I have crossed along side some of my favorite Disney Parks Panel Moms, and we have loads of amazing memories and stories to share!  If your friend plans to stay off site, I recommend using a private vehicle to arrive and to arrive very, very early.  The roads leading to the starting corals will start to get crowded with traffic several hours before the start.  When driving from off property, I simply arrive extra early, and hang out in my vehicle with a quick snack before heading to the start line.  If it is, in fact, possible to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort , you can leave the driving to Disney, and take Disney transportation to all race venues.

Either way, I hope your friend enjoys every magical mile!  Good luck to her!
