My best friend and I have been through thick and thin and everything in between, and we are celebrating 32 years of friendship. We marked our 30th with our own Disney vacation, so helping you celebrate 35 years of friendship at
Disneyland Resort feels extra special.
First, let’s talk about making the most of your magical trip. I always feel that staying
on property adds that extra bit of pixie dust because you are wrapped in the magic from the moment you arrive until the moment you head home. You have a few wonderful choices. The classic
Disneyland Hotel is iconic, filled with timeless Disney charm, and close to
Downtown Disney District and the Monorail entrance into Disneyland Park.
Pixar Place Hotel is newly reimagined with bright, playful Pixar touches that make every corner feel joyful. It is an easy walk to both Downtown Disney and the Grand Californian entrance into Disney California Adventure Park. Then there is the
Grand Californian. It is my personal favorite with its beautiful, grand lobby and elegant atmosphere. It is the closest hotel to the parks and, as I mentioned, has its own private entrance right into California Adventure. All the hotels have options of multiple room suites if you like more space, or rooms with multiple beds to be able to laugh and talk all night!
Now, let’s talk about celebrating in true Disney style. When my bestie and I visited, we chose a dining package for a Nighttime Spectacular. I absolutely love World of Color, so we booked the
World of Color Dessert Party. With delicious treats and premium seating, it felt so special. There are also packages for parades, fireworks, and Fantasmic!, so whichever Nighttime Spectacular feels like the perfect celebration for you two, you can enjoy it in style.
Kathleen, one of the easiest things you can do is stop by any
Guest Relations location and pick up complimentary I’m Celebrating buttons. A Cast Member can write “35 years of friendship” on them, which makes for a sweet and memorable touch.
One last tip for something that means the world to me from when we did it. Purchase a pair of blank Mickey ears and have them hand painted at
Plaza Point. You can choose from a selection of artwork, colors, and wording. The ears my best friend and I created are still one of my favorite souvenirs. Just make sure to keep your receipt because they will ask for it when you bring the ears in for customization.
