So my friend and I are planning on a trip to Disney next March with our kids. We are looking to have separate rooms. Is there a possibility that we could get rooms next to each other? Is it easier to book together or separate?

    Hi, there!

Welcome to planDisney, Shannon. I am just thrilled to hear you're beginning to plan a Walt Disney World Resort vacation with your friend! Traveling together with all your kids in tow sounds like so, so much fun. It looks like you're planning a March visit - that's a great time to escape the lingering winter weather in Pennsylvania!

I totally understand wanting to have separate rooms for your stay. You'll all be spending lots of time together exploring the theme parks, and it will be nice to have some personal space for your downtime! It's certainly possible to request rooms that are next to one another. If you book your Disney Resort hotels separately, simply call the Reservation Team at (407) 939-1936 to add that request to your reservations. You may find the shared planning process to be easier if you book together. If you choose to take that route, you can request nearby rooms during the online booking process. When booking together online, you'll need to make a separate reservation for each party. Be sure that you don't duplicate anyone's name on either reservation! When it's time to check out of your shared online cart, you should see an option that says "Room and Amenity Requests." If you click on that link, you can select "Nearby Room" or "With Connecting Door." You can book these reservations over the phone too!

You and your friend have so many incredible options to choose from in the Disney Resorts Collection. It's hard to pick! When my family is choosing a Disney Resort hotel, my kids prioritize the pools. They especially love the feature pools at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. I can't keep them off those water slides!

Thanks for stopping by, Shannon. Please let us know if you have any other questions as you're planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! We'd love to help you and your friend plan a magical stay.
