My friend and I are planning a moms-only trip to WDW this November. She served 4 years in the Air Force. Will she be able to get the military discount on her tickets or room? Thanks

    Hi Darby,
Thanks for joining us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so glad you stopped by to ask me this question.

I've got to tell you, I absolutely LOVE my moms-only trips to the Walt Disney World resort with my girlfriends, so I'm really excited to hear that you're going for a girls' trip! It's a great way to reconnect, relax, have fun, and refresh.

Currently, Military Promotional Tickets are only available to those that are currently active duty, retired, or 100% disabled veterans with proper ID.  Spouses and dependents qualify for these discounts with proper ID as well.  So, your friend would not qualify if she served only four years in the Air Force.

If the military discounts don't apply to your group of moms, don't despair! There are still discounts to be had on the Special Offers page!  Bookmark this site and come back often, as special offers come and go quite often.

Are there any Florida Residents or Annual Passholders in your group? The hotel discounts offered to these groups may be shared by up to three rooms, so this could be useful for your party.

Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn't share my favorite girls' weekend experiences with you before your trip! First, I love Afternoon Tea at Garden View Tea Room at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.  Sip and nibble your way through afternoon tea (and perhaps a mimosa if you're so inclined) in the lovely atmosphere of the Tea Room.  Options include both tasty finger sandwiches and amazing pastries in this elegant opportunity to catch up in a room with ambiance like no other in this beautiful resort.

Did someone just say spa? There are multiple places available at the Walt Disney World resort to relax and unwind in a fabulous spa experience.  The aforementioned Grand Floridian houses Senses-A Disney Spa and Salon, which is a full-service spa and salon that offers the very best in pampering and relaxation for busy moms.  Additional spa services are available at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa at Senses-A Disney Spa in that location as well.

Lastly, why should little girls have all the fun playing dress-up?  The Ivy Trellis Salon brings us back to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Senses-A Disney Spa and Salon, where even grown-ups can join in the fun with a Character Couture package, where you can have your hair, makeup and even nails done for the ultimate Disneybounding experience.

Darby, wishing you the most incredible moms trip yet! Please come visit us again with any additional questions about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

    Best Wishes,
    Amy S.
