Me and my friend are planning a holiday for the first time to Disney world Florida. We are wondering if there are any times of the year which are the cheapest? We are wanting to go during the time of the free nights deal. Thank you

Hello from across the pond Jack!

Congratulations on your first jolly holiday to the Walt Disney World Resort! There's no magic like Disney magic. I'm so excited to help you with your trip.

You're arriving just in time for my favorite part of the year at Walt Disney World: spooky season! Many schools in the U.S. start in August and crowds tend to thin out a bit. Except for Labor Day weekend which falls right in the middle of your stay. That's the last major school holiday for the states until a bit later in the fall. Not to worry though your vacation will still be practically perfect with the use of Disney Genie Service and Disney Genie+ Service. My family and I tend to go around this same time and take advantage of all the great incentives and offerings of the season. Nowhere in the world does Halloween like a Disney Park. This past year we had Boo Bash in Magic Kingdom Park to celebrate the Halloween season. Keep an eye out this summer for information about what to expect in the fall. And I wouldn't be me if I didn't recommend EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival! It's still a bit early for those dates so check back in the summer for those too.

Jack, September is an incredible time of year at The Walt Disney World Resort. You're sure to get a great bang for your buck!

    Happy planning!
