My friend and I are planning on going to the Animal Kingdom this coming Saturday the 25th. Besides going on a safari what else is there to do at this park? Do you have any evening entertainment? Also is there anything special for the 50th anniversary?

Welcome to planDisney, Marilyn! I'm so glad to hear that you have plans to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom this weekend. It's my favorite Theme Park at Walt Disney World Resort, mostly because the magic of the natural world is around every corner for you to explore.

There is so much to do at Disney's Animal Kingdom beyond Kilimanjaro Safaris, which I'm pleased to hear you've already got on your must-do list. If you're both thrill-seekers, be sure to check out Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, a rollercoaster that puts you face-to-face with the mythical Yeti. You can also catch two amazing shows, Festival of the Lion King and, my favorite, Finding Nemo: The Big Blue...and Beyond!

Nighttime is the perfect time to check out the bioluminescent forest on Pandora - The World of Avatar. The food at Satu'li Canteen is delicious and adventurous, and you can't leave without partaking in a Na'vi rite of passage and riding on the back of a banshee on Avatar Flight of Passage. The Tree of Life also comes alive at night with the Tree of Life Awakening, a show that happens regularly throughout the evening after the sun goes down.

For the 50th anniversary celebration, make sure to keep an eye out for some of the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection around Discovery Island. If you have a MagicBand+, try waving at the statues and see what happens!

    Have a magical day, Marilyn!
