My friend and I will have one "kid free" day at Disney and want to know the best way to plan the day? We will be at Epcot the night before. Thanks!

Hi Tracey! I can remember when my husband and I took our first Disney vacation without children and it was such a strange feeling. We have learned to appreciate many of the great things that are offered there for adults and enjoy each trip with or without our kids and grandkids.

I'm not sure from your message if you wish to visit a park or just do some other Disney experiences. I will concentrate on those here. There are some incredible tours that are adult only. Keys to the Kingdom will take you under the Magic Kingdom park for a tour of the utilidors among other things. You can include that if you want to spend the day in the Magic Kingdom. Another favorite tour is the Wild Africa Trek in Animal Kingdom or one of the Segway tours.  You can spend a day at Downtown Disney with shopping in the morning, then take in a Fork and Screen Movie at the AMC theater and follow that with a couple of hours of bowling fun at Splitsville. In between you can even hop on the Characters In Flight balloon for a great view of the Disney property. End the evening with a Cirque du Soleil Show.

If you are thinking about a park day I suggest the Magic Kingdom. Include a tour and hit the new Fantasyland attractions and dine at Be Our Guest if you can nab a reservation or hop in for lunch. Enjoy the day parades and then stay for the night parade and fireworks.

If you want a pool day I suggest booking a Contemporary cabana and be pampered. Or just head to the spa and be pampered. Disney has endless possibilities for adult fun. If you find you have free time in the evening head to the Boardwalk area and Jellyrolls where you will find dueling pianos. Whatever you do it will be fun and magical!
