Hiya, Kunoor, and welcome to
planDisney!
What a good friend you are to help prepare your friend for her visit to the
Happiest Place on Earth! As a mom of three young Mouseketeers, I’ve spent many hours nursing my babies at the Disneyland Resort, so I’d be happy to offer some advice for your friend.
First off, I’m happy to report that the Disneyland Resort is very accommodating when it comes to helping families with little ones! I recommend your friend gets familiar with the
Baby Care Centers, which are the perfect spot to pump, nurse, feed, or change a baby. There are two locations, including one inside
Disneyland Park, and one inside
Disney California Adventure Park. Once your friend arrives at one of the Baby Care Centers, she can tell the Cast Member at the front that she needs to pump, and they will direct her to the private pumping station. This station is set up for pumping, complete with outlets to plug in the pump.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a place to store and freeze milk within the Baby Care Centers, however, I have some alternative solutions for your friend. As for milk storage, I recommend bringing a small cooler with re-usable ice packs to keep her milk cool, and storing it in a
Locker Rental. Just keep in mind that
the maximum size allowed for coolers or bags is 24” long by 15” wide by 18” high. Locker rentals can be found near the entrances of both theme parks, and in The Esplanade area between both parks. She can also store her pump there, or ask to have it stored in
First Aid, since it's considered a medical device.
If she happens to have her little one with her, I have a favorite nursing spot to share. I used to love relaxing and nursing on the plush couches inside The Disney Animation Building’s Animation Courtyard gallery in the main lobby. Not only is this spot air-conditioned, but it also offers entertaining video clips from classic Disney movies. I consider this an ideal break for both mom and baby!
I hope this information helps your friend enjoy her visit to the Disneyland Resort, Kunoor! Please stop by with any additional questions… we’re all EARs!
See ya’ real soon,
Kristin
