A friend is not able to travel to California. The reservation is for 7/25, 2 tickets. I have the reservation number how can he transfer the tickets to me?

Hi Diana! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.

I can help walk you through how to transfer a valid wholly unused ticket to your Disneyland mobile app. Before I do, however, I want to mention that reservations can be changed to a different date, and even if your friend isn't able to visit Disneyland Resort this year, tickets never lose their value and could be applied in the future to the purchase of new admission tickets. To simply move the reservation to a new date, visit My Theme Park Reservations. Be sure to check on the availability of a new reservation in the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar.

To link your friends' tickets in your Disneyland mobile app, open the app and click the three-bar menu in the bottom right-hand corner. Select "Tickets and Passes" and click the "+" to choose "Link Tickets & Passes." This is where you'll enter the ticket number manually. The existing theme park reservation should show up in "Future Plans." I'd check if the reservation shows up there after linking the tickets just to be on the safe side.

Hopefully, everything works out! Whether for a visit this month or one in the future, there's always something new to see and do at Disneyland Resort. I follow the Disney Parks Blog for all the updates, and recently I've been wishing I could swing on in for the Indiana Jones fun! I'm sure there will be something exciting in store for your next visit too.

    Have a magical day!
