Dear Anita, thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. You’re a kind friend to be helping your friend plan a surprise for her daughter.
Anita, if your friend is looking to visit this week, I’ll be honest that I think it will be difficult to find reservations, as this is a very busy time at the parks with multiple schools having spring breaks. That said, I have seen
reservation availability change within minutes, because as Guests change plans and cancel reservations, those reservations are released back into the system as available. You could get lucky if you keep refreshing the
availability calendar and grab something right as it becomes available. But, during this busy time, the chances of that are less likely. I know that’s not the news you were hoping to hear, but I wanted to give you a realistic view of what to expect.
A few other tips….
1. The reservation availability for
One-Park-Per-Day tickets and Park Hopper tickets may vary, so it’s worth searching for both.
2. You could try searching for single day tickets instead of multi-day, in case there is more availability.
3. Guests at Disneyland Resort Hotels may have access to additional availability – you can link to that calendar
here.
4. Try searching from the
Disneyland mobile app so you can check frequently throughout the day. The app accesses the same calendar but this way you can check often while you’re on-the-go. In the app, click the “+” at the bottom of the screen and select “Make a Park Reservation.”
I am sending you a pinch of pixie dust in hopes that availability pops up for your friend and her daughter.
