Hi! Me and a friend of mine are getting ready to book for our first Disney cruise which is for Disney Adventure ship. We were just wondering whether it is possible to split the payment between us both? Is there an option to do so with our cards?

Ciao, Paula! Get ready for your best day ever! I’ll never forget my first Disney Cruise, so I’m glad you stopped by planDisney with your question so I can help make this trip even more memorable for you and your friend.

I completely understand wanting to figure out the easiest way to split the payment between you both. After speaking with a Disney Cruise Line representative, I confirmed that the first deposit must be posted using only one form of payment online. Then, if you wish to split that payment up, you will need to call and speak with a Cruise Vacation Agent for assistance. After the initial deposit, you may each log into your separate accounts and post any payments you wish, as each adult Guest gets their own Disney Cruise Line login. Even when you’re sailing in the same stateroom, you can each link that reservation from your own online account.

Now for the fun stuff! There’s a great article on the Disney Cruise Line website outlining some helpful tips before your first cruise. You’ll also want to download the free Disney Cruise Line Navigator app before setting sail. Not only does it have a super cute countdown clock, but once you’re onboard, you can find the full schedule for all the activities. You can also book port adventures, check out spa specials, and review showtimes on the app.

One of my other favorite tips is to pack a reusable mug to use with the complimentary soda stations you’ll find onboard. It also comes in handy for the selection of coffee and tea available. Just make sure to pack it in your carry-on bag (along with your swimsuit and sunscreen) since your staterooms aren’t always ready right when you board, and your checked baggage can sometimes take a few hours to be delivered. Even though my first Disney Cruise was almost twenty years ago, I still refer to this packing checklist

You’ll find so many fun avenues to explore on the Disney Adventure, especially within the seven themed areas on the ship! If you have any other questions that come up along the way, don’t hesitate to reach out to us again here at planDisney!

    Bon voyage,
    Sami
