A friend of mine got a commemorative brick in 2005 and it made them so happy to polish it every time they visited but the medallion was stolen out of the top! Is there a way to get a new medallion or is it just gone? :(

    Hiya, Bailey!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for reaching out to us hEAR!

Oh dear! I'm so, so sorry that this happened! I've actually seen a few super cute videos on social media of someone cleaning their brick, complete with teeny-tiny orange traffic cones. (I'm guessing it was a part cutesy, part 'Bugs Life' mashup the world didn't know we needed.) And I believe the same thing happened to the person in the video, too, that they later went back to find their medallion missing! Sadly since these mementos are no longer for sale, I believe the best course of action would be to reach out to Guest Relations to see if anything can be done. These helpful Cast Members can be found at multiple places in the parks, like in City Hall on Main Street U.S.A. in Disneyland Park. You can speak with Guest Relations without purchasing a ticket by heading to their walk-up window directly to the left of the Disney California Adventure Park turnstiles. Or, you might even be able to send in an email inquiry by filling out this form linked hEAR.

While my next suggestion sadly isn't a medallion replacement, you should look into the commemorative pavers that are available on ShopDisney.com. The neat thing about these little beauties is that they are yours forever, and have a few different uses; everything from shelf or coffee table decor to being used as a pot holder in the kitchen to a paperweight in the office. I like that your friend gets to be in charge of where this memento will live and that it won't be stepped on by thousands of park guests a day!

I'm so sorry that this wasn't the answer you were originally sEARching for, Bailey, but I hope that you hEAR back from Disneyland soon if they have any plans in place for missing medallions. I also think that you're a great friend for checking in on this! Be sure to follow the official planDisney Panel Instagram account for even more tips and tricks.
