Me and my friend made a reserv. for EPCOT in advance for April 23rd. I have a Disney tix and she has an AP We canceled the plans today for Animal Kingdom. I was able to make a reservation but she was not. Can she be linked to me or get old reserv back?

Hi there, Aaron! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by to see us with your question.

As a fellow Floridian, I love being able to plan Walt Disney World visits on the fly. You never know when the magic will call! Sometimes that also means changing our plans on the spur of the moment, like deciding to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom Park on Earth Day. That would certainly be a nice way to spend the day in our beautiful home state.

Looking at the Availability Calendar for this Friday, I can definitely see why you're having trouble changing your Disney Park Pass reservations. It looks like you were able to get your reservation to Disney's Animal Kingdom Park just in time after canceling your day at EPCOT. Your friend, unfortunately, just missed it by a Mouse's whisker. Since Disney distributes theme park reservations by ticket type, they don't accommodate adding an Annual Pass and a Theme Park Ticket on the same reservation, so you wouldn't be able to link her to yours. Also, Friday's date on the calendar is shaded in gray now, meaning all theme parks are booked up. Sadly, that means the previous reservations you had for EPCOT are no longer available, either.

There are a couple of options for you at this point. One, keep a close eye on that Availability Calendar! You never know when another Guest's plans may change, so a reservation may come available at any time. I know it's happened in the past, so we can keep wishing on a star!

Also, you and your friend can plan to visit on a different day. I know that might be disappointing for you, but it may be your best option. Your friend is good to go with her Annual Pass, but you may need to change the date on your Standard ticket. Go ahead and pop into your My Disney Experience app and navigate to the "Tickets and Passes" section to check the date and see if it can be modified. If you need any help with that, you can call Disney's Guest Relations number and a Cast Member will have you right as rain in no time. Then, as soon as possible, you and your friend should both make Disney Park Pass reservations for the new date. You can see that they're going faster than Mickey waffles right now!

Aaron, I'm sorry this might not have been the answer you were hoping for. Fingers crossed that the pixie dust finds you and your friend and that you're able to spend some time exploring the Most Magical Place on Earth. I hope you'll come see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
