Hey there, Linette!
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for bringing a question our way!
Even though your friend purchased her tickets separately, you can still add her to your established group. In fact, I recommend doing this as it will come in handy if you decide to attempt to secure a position in a virtual queue for
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance or
Indiana Jones Adventure. Here’s what you’ll do to make sure your friend is included in your group. First, link the theme park tickets of each member of your party into the
Disneyland App. You’ll do this by visiting the “Tickets and Passes” section of the App and tapping the ‘+’ symbol in the upper-right hand corner. Use the “Link Tickets & Passes” button to add each person that is not already showing. Now you’re ready to join a virtual queue with your entire party. You can link the tickets for your entire party to multiple mobile devices so that you all can try to secure your position in the virtual queues.
When the time comes to join, any mobile device that has all tickets linked may attempt to join the virtual queue. So when a person in your party successfully joins a virtual queue on their device, the other devices with the same tickets linked will no longer need to attempt to join. Head to the Virtual Queues section in the Disneyland App to confirm everyone has been added.
I hope this helps! Enjoy your trip to “The Happiest Place on Earth!” Head back to planDisney with any more questions you may have!
