Hello friend! I'm trying SO hard to find a place to eat at DD. I see Portabellos is on the dining plan, but not listed on the "list." Is it only accepted on the premium plan? Would you recommend Captin Jack's? Thanks again!

    Hi Ms. Jaynee,

Great to hear from you again :-) Don't worry, we'll find you a place to eat at Downtown Disney.

I'm not sure which Disney Dining Plan you plan to participate in during your visit.  Currently, Portobello at Downtown Disney is on the 2011 Disney Premium Dining Plan, Disney Platinum Dining Plan and Disney Wine and Dine Plan.  You can view all of the Disney Dining Plans and details about each by clicking here. On the right side of the screen, you'll see a PDF file for each plan.

I actually love Cap'n Jack's Restaurant. The view over the water is awesome! Its also a little quieter than some of the other restaurants at Downtown Disney. The New England Clam Chowder is super yummy! I also love the shrimp & penne pasta.  If you dine at dinner, the crab cakes are scrumptious!

Cap'n Jack's Restaurant participates in all of the Disney Dining Plans except the Quick Service Dining Plan. Reservations can be made online (see above link) or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.  I have often walked in without reservations during non-peak seasons if I go early to avoid the lunch or dinner crowds.

As always, its awesome to hear from you and I'm always wishing you many magical memories :-)  Allison
