Hello and welcome to planDisney, Melinda!
First, I love that you and your friend will be traveling to
Walt Disney World Resort together! Talk about fun times and memories being created!
You have asked a great question; however, I think this may be a question for her doctors. They can arm her with the best resources so that she can navigate while she is on vacation. In the meantime, it looks like you have some time to plan some magical fun, and we will be here to help walk you through that. After deciding which
Disney Resort you will lay your head at and how many days you plan to enjoy, look into the available
theme park tickets and
dining options. In addition, I recommend you check out the
Disability Access Service (DAS), as it may offer some options to help your friend maneuver through the theme parks. If this is something your friend may be interested in, she may be able to pre-register for DAS Advance virtually with a Cast Member, using live video chat. Still, you have plenty of time to think about that because she can not pre-register until 30 days in advance of her park visit but no less than two days before arrival.
We will be here to answer any additional questions you may have during this planning phase; let us know how we can help.
Have a magical day!
Raquel
