My friend and I are headed to Disney World in a few short days. Because we are poor college students, we're trying to do everything inexpensively. We are planning on hitting Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Do you have any suggestions for cheap dining options?

Hi Jenn! I loved my "cheap" college days as we had much fun making things work while still having fun! I am sure you will have a great time no matter what you do or spend!

There are some great quick service spots in the Magic Kingdom where you can order something small or a larger meal according to your tastes. My favorites are Casey's on Main Street that offers good hotdogs and mini corn dogs. For a more complete meal we like to head to Columbia House which is close to the Haunted Mansion. It is more quiet here with lots of seating up and downstairs and their menu is quite good.

Epcot is full of choices with most being in the World Showcase. Almost each country will have a reservation table service restaurant but will also have a quick service option.  You can literally eat around the world trying a little bite from each location. I personally love Mexico and Germany. If you are into sushi head to Japan or into pastries head to France. Even Morocco has a great quick service spot with some excellent choices!

If you find yourselves in Future World your best option is The Land pavilion. They have offerings for both breakfast and lunch/dinner.  Be sure and check out the menus before you decide as it is quite extensive. Seating can get crowded during popular dining hours and it gets a little crazy with the crowds for the Land boat ride and also Soarin.

    Have fun and enjoy!
