Welcome to planDisney, Lanie!
Thank you for reaching out to us with your question! When I was in college, I loved visiting Disney destinations with friends! We would usually sleep in and then stay in the parks until they closed. I hope you get plenty of opportunities to visit Walt Disney World now that you live in Tampa!
A university ID is not listed as an approved proof of residency for
Florida Resident Park Tickets or
annual passes at this time, unfortunately. For each ticket purchased for an adult, Guests can provide a valid Florida driver’s license or a Florida state-issued ID card that shows a Florida address. Florida-based military ID are also accepted.
Since you do not have a Florida state-issued ID, you can instead provide approved documentation showing a Florida residential address. The proof of residency must be dated within the past 2 months and also requires a corresponding picture ID, such as a passport, driver's license, or state identification card. Documentation options include a mortgage statement, utility bill, or mail from a financial institution or government agency. A full list of acceptable options can be found on the Walt Disney World Resort’s
Proof of Florida Residency page.
One of my favorite festivals is currently happening at Walt Disney World, the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. I love wandering through the park and checking out all of the living sculptures of Disney characters. There is also delicious food to be found at the Outdoor Kitchens. I recommend reviewing the
Disney Parks Blog Foodie Guide to make a list of all the food and beverages you want to try!
Lanie, I hope you can take advantage of one of the Florida resident promotions! Please reach out to us again if you have other questions!
Wishing you a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
Jen
