Hey there, hi there, Adrianne! Welcome to planDisney! You've brought us a great question about tickets.
I'm so excited to hear you are planning a trip with your mom to Disneyland Resort soon! In most cases, tickets can be used by someone other than the person who assigned their name to the ticket as long as it's a wholly, unused ticket. However, there could be some exceptions to this if it is a special ticket type, like a military ticket. As I mentioned, usually a ticket isn't actually assigned to someone until they scan the ticket for the first time at the gate. A Cast Member will then take the picture of the Guest and that picture is then what makes a ticket assigned to someone. The best way to find out for sure that you are good to use these tickets would be to call
Ticket Services and speak with a Cast Member who will be able to check the tickets for you.
You will need to double-check that the ticket type or ticket tier is good to use on the day you want to use it. The Cast Member should be able to confirm that for you too. Taking a glance at the ticket calendar, if you have one-day tickets they would need to be a tier 3 or higher for August 28, 2022.
Once you have the clear to use those tickets you will want to link them to your Disney account and then make
theme park ticket reservations for the tickets. You'll want to do this as soon as possible since days or park options can fill up.
Adrianne, I hope you are able to use these tickets to create a magical memory with your mom at Disneyland Resort. See you real soon!
