Hi there Kayla!
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for sending us your question! I absolutely love going to the parks with my friends and the rest of my family, especially the little ones, and getting to see the magic through their eyes. This trip is going to be so special for all of you and I am so excited for you to make magical memories that will last a lifetime!
Now let's talk about making plans on My Disney Experience! When it comes to children under the age of 13, you can indeed create a profile for them in your My Disney Experience account and manage their plans. However,
only the person who created their profile can manage their plans and this function is not transferable. But don't worry, this does not mean that you will not be able to make plans together! If you and your friend manage your children's profiles and you are linked on each others' "My Family & Friends List," you should still be able to see each others' childrens' profiles and make plans for everyone. If you haven't connected with each other yet, you can simply do so by going into your My Disney Experience account and clicking on "My Family & Friends." Then, you can scroll down to the bottom of your Family & Friends List and click on "Add a Guest." You will then be prompted to enter your friend's information and make sure you put your friend's email that is connected to their My Disney Experience account. Once she accepts your invitation, you will be able to see her and her son's profile in your My Family & Friends List! If you are still not able to see your friend's son in your "My Family & Friends List," I would recommend
getting in contact with a Cast Member by chat, email or phone. Cast Members truly are real-life magic makers and I always turn to them when I have questions or issues. They will be able to help you both connect with the rest of your party so you can plan your magical vacation!
In addition, if your friend wants to make dining reservations, she does not need to link everyone's profile to the reservation. Indeed, instead of seeing everyone's profiles linked under the reservation, you will see "Guest 1" for however many guests you need. This way, you can still make dining reservations for your whole party without actually showing who is going!
I hope this was helpful, Kayla, and that you are able to get back to planning your magical vacation as soon as possible! If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out. You're as welcome as can be!
Have a magical day and I am sending you all the pixie dust for your next trip,
Ariane
