Hi there, Santana! Welcome to planDisney!
How fun to be planning a trip with your Disney pal! As much as I love visiting the Walt Disney World Resort with my family, some of my favorite Disney days have been spent with good friends. You're going to have a blast!
Santana, setting up separate credit cards for charging to your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel room is a great idea. And yes, you can absolutely do this! Just head to the front desk
when you arrive with your
MagicBand and the credit card you want to use and ask a Cast Member to take care of it for you. They'll have you select a PIN that you'll use for any purchases you make during your time there, and those charges will go to your card at the end of your trip. You should take a moment to look over the
credit card authorization hold policy just so you're aware that Disney could place a hold on your card at various times during your stay.
After you've set up your credit card, you might want to make a quick stop in the Resort hotel gift shop and buy a little something to make sure everything worked as it should. Sometimes the droids can make things go a little haywire!
Here's another great tip for you, Santana: You'll definitely want to take advantage of
Mobile Ordering when you'd like a quick bite in the theme parks or your Resort hotel! Be sure your credit card is also linked to your My Disney Experience account since Mobile Ordering is separate from your room charges. My fellow panelist Allyn
has the details on how to link your card. To use Mobile Ordering, just open up the My Disney Experience mobile app, choose a restaurant and build your meal, then order and pay right in the app. Your food will be ready and waiting for you to pick up and you'll be back to the fun in no time!
I'm so excited for you and your friend to have a holiday adventure at the Walt Disney World Resort, Santana! Thank you so much for stopping by with your question, and have a magical vacation!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
