    My friend and I are going to Disney in July. I am bringing my 3 kids and she is bringing 1. We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. My Disney app gives me the option to get pre-arrival priced magic bands. Hers does not. Is there something she can do?

    Hey there, Jamie! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with your question!

    Before you know it, you will be arriving at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, ready to embark on your oh-so-magical adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth. A Walt Disney World Resort vacation with a friend and the kiddos sounds like the best time, Jamie! How exciting! I just returned home from a magical stay at Riverside with my family, and with its peaceful, charming Southern setting, great dining options, fantastic Resort activities and location within a short, scenic boat ride of Disney Springs, it's the perfect magical home away from home for both kids and kids at heart. Of course, MagicBands and MagicBand+ make every stay so much more magical and convenient, so let's chat about helping your friend get hers!

    First, your friend should start by logging into her My Disney Experience account on the Walt Disney World website and making sure that her Resort reservation is properly linked. She can check by hovering over the "My Disney Experience" tab, clicking "My Plans" and checking if the upcoming reservation is listed under her plans. If it isn't linked yet, she can link the reservation now by hovering over the Resort Hotel icon, clicking the blue "Link a Reservation" button and entering the reservation information. 

    If the Resort reservation is already linked, she should see a section under the upcoming reservation that is labeled "Unlock the Magic with MagicBands." Here, she can click the blue "Please make your selection" link to start shopping for her perfect MagicBand or Magic Band+ at a discounted pre-arrival price.

    If she cannot access that link, she can hover over the "My Disney Experience" tab and click "My MagicBands and Cards" to start making her selections. When I tried to order my family's MagicBand+ the other day, I did get an error message that read "We are unable to display certain MagicBand orders at this time," so if she is getting this message, have her refresh the page, log out and back in, or just try a little later. Once I refreshed the page, I made my selections and placed my order, and I'll be wishing upon a star that this works for her, too!

    If your friend is still having difficulty making her MagicBand selections, I suggest she call a helpful Cast Member with My Disney Experience, MagicBand and MagicBand+ for assistance. They will also be more than happy to help.
