My friend and I want to take our daughters to Disney World for their 8th grade graduation present. Is the end of May going to be a good time to go this year? How crowded do you think it will be?

A magical welcome to you, Miranda!

I’m so happy your pumpkin carriage lead the way to planDisney!

I love the idea of celebrating 8th grade graduations at The Most Magical Place on Earth! I’m sure these girls are going to adore the memories they make with you and your friend!

May is a lovely time to be at Walt Disney World Resort! The beauty of spring is in the air, and the hope of summer is nearing with each day! Typically EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is capturing the hearts of Guests through May as well. I can’t think of a more magical time to visit!

I’m always searching crowd calendars for Walt Disney World Resort for the upcoming year! Some would say I stalk these crowd calendars out of obsession... But I lovingly refer to my “research” as passion! This hobby also allows me to get a lot of opinions, and I’ve never been disappointed with the dates that I choose for my vacations! I’m always impressed with the detail some Disney-enthusiasts add to their crowd calendars! Many take into account races, holidays, school schedules, and much more! You’re more than welcome to join my “research” by searching “Walt Disney World Resort crowd calendars for 2021” to gather your own information too!

Here’s what I’ve gathered: Weekends will be more crowded than weekdays (this is pretty typical) however you should be looking at light to moderate crowds at the end of May. The only day that is really likely to draw in heavier crowds would be Memorial Day (and possibly the weekend leading up to it). And remember, these are just predictions. Crowd density is prone to vary, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy your trip no matter what!

If you have any additional questions, Miranda, we’d be so happy to hear from you again at planDisney

    Best wishes!
