Hi Helene, welcome to planDisney!
I am so sorry for your friend's current situation! I do want you to know that the
Disneyland Resort has been monitoring its health and safety conditions, and has been adjusting its
COVID-19 health and safety protocols accordingly.
But back to your main question, I have good news! As long as your park hopper ticket is new and unused, you can reassign it to another friend. When you visit the Disneyland Resort Main Entrance Turnstiles, the Cast Members there will scan your tickets, and take a picture of each Guest. This is how the tickets will be assigned to the Guests. So up until that point, you are free to reassign to another friend!
I'm excited for your upcoming trip to The Happiest Place on Earth! Many amazing experiences have returned, and I can’t wait for you to experience them all! The traditional character meet and greets have returned, which means Mickey and all his Pals are ready to give out the best hugs and sign your autograph books! AND many of the fantastic nighttime experiences are back as well!
The Main Street Electrical Parade,
Disneyland Forever fireworks,
World of Color, and my personal favorite,
Fantasmic! have all returned! Exciting right?
See ya real soon!
