My friend bought our tickets. She sent me a picture of my ticket with the barcode. I am trying to add my mine, but I only have a barcode and not ID number. When I invited her to join as my friend…it saved her ticket, but not mine. How do I add my ticket?

Welcome to planDisney Michelle! Thanks so much for reaching out with your question. It sounds like you’re gearing up for a magical trip to Walt Disney World Resort! With so many ways to manage your tickets and plans, especially through the My Disney Experience app, I’m here to help you get everything set up smoothly and make the most of your visit.

To add your Disney World ticket to your My Disney Experience account, just having a picture of the barcode usually isn’t enough. You need the actual ticket ID number, which is a longer series of digits printed near the barcode or included in the ticket confirmation. Since your friend bought the tickets, she should have the full confirmation email or access to the Disney account where all the ticket numbers are listed, including yours.

You can ask her to find your specific ticket ID number or forward you the original purchase confirmation email, which often contains the ticket number you need. Once you have that number, you can log into your My Disney Experience account, go to the section for adding or linking tickets, and enter the ticket ID along with your last name. That’s what allows Disney to recognize your ticket and link it to your profile.

If you can’t find the ticket ID number at all, you can always reach out to Disney Guest Services. They may be able help you link your ticket by looking it up with the barcode or other information connected to your purchase. So, the key is to get the actual ticket ID number rather than just the barcode image. Once you have it, adding your ticket will work smoothly.

I hope you find this information helpful as you prepare for an exciting visit to Walt Disney World Resort, Michelle! Thank you again for visiting planDisney. Have a magical day!
