Hi Susie,
I see that your magical vacation is just a few short weeks away, so I'm so glad that you sent us this question and we can help you get it straightened out before you arrive!
Did your friend buy the ticket directly from Disney? If so, is it possible that the ticket is linked to someone else in his or her My Disney Experience account? The good news for you if that's the case is that
tickets can be reassigned as long as they haven't yet been used. Your friend will simply need to go into his or her
My Disney Experience account, locate the ticket, and click the "Reassign Ticket" button. If your friend, however, purchased your ticket from a third party seller, you may need to call a Cast Member at (407) 566-4985 to see if they can help straighten things out. Unfortunately, there are some locations that sell tickets that have already been partially used, and if that's the case, I'm sorry to tell you that you won't be able to use the remaining days on the ticket. Once a ticket is used for the first time, the tickets are connected to each individual Guest by fingerprint and are non-transferable.
Once everything is straightened out and your ticket is properly linked to your account, I'd encourage you to go ahead and make your
FastPass+ selections. You may select three attractions or experiences per day ahead of time to skip the standby lines, and once you've enjoyed those selections, you may add additional FastPass+ experiences with the My Disney Experience mobile app one at a time, pending availability. It's a GREAT time-saver!
I'm wishing on a star and sending some pixie dust that everything will work out fine with your ticket, Susie, and hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
