Me and a friend booked a vacation package the other day, how can she connect her Disney account to her ticket and hotel reservation?

    Hey there, Heather!

It's so great to see you here at planDisney! I'm excited for you and your friend that you'll be vacationing together at Walt Disney World Resort! Enjoying The Most Magical Place on Earth with friends makes the whole experience all that more magical.

The first thing your friend -- and you, too, I would think -- will want to do is to sign in to your My Disney Experience account. You can use the My Plans menu selection to mange your Resort hotel reservation, your theme park tickets, and any dining reservations you might make. In the Resort Hotel area, you'll see a button for "Link a Reservation." You'll then see the "Link a Resort Reservation to Your Account" page where you can enter the confirmation number for your vacation package and the last name on your reservation. With this quick and easy step, your Resort hotel information and your theme park ticket information should now be displayed for you in your My Plans area.

You can also use the Let's Link Your Reservations and Purchases page to link your reservations to your My Disney Experience account.

If you or your friend run into any issues linking your reservations and tickets, you can reach out to the Walt Disney World Internet Help Desk at (407) 939-4357, or you can chat with them online.

After you have linked your reservations and tickets, be sure to make your theme park reservations through the Disney Park Pass system.

I also highly recommend you both download and use the My Disney Experience mobile app. You'll be able to view and manage all your plans with the convenient and useful app. You'll also be able to use all the other super cool features like interactive maps and directions, virtual queues, and mobile food ordering. One of the newest features is the Disney MagicMobile Service that lets you use your mobile device for theme park entry. Pretty cool, right?

You'll also want to make great use of the Family & Friends features in My Disney Experience to share and manage your plans together.

Heather, here's wishing you and your friend a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation. If you're looking for recommendations as you make your plans, just ask here at planDisney. I also invite you to follow the planDisney Panelists on social media for more tips and ideas.

    Enjoy all the Disney magic!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
