Hello: My friend is going in August and will celebrate her mom's 70th birthday while there. They are a group of 13 people, from ages 4 - 70. Do you have any ideas for a surprise for this birthday celebration that they can all participate in?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom Panel, Marie! Your friend's mom is definitely in for a practically perfect celebration by spending her birthday at Walt Disney World.

Here are some fun ways to celebrate the big occasion:
    • Before they arrive, friends and family can order a special gift to be waiting in the birthday girl's room upon arrival. Disney Floral & Gifts has gift baskets and floral arrangements for every occasion.
    • How about starting the day with a fun character breakfast? Whether it's Mickey & his pals at Chef Mickey's, Pooh & Friends at the Crystal Palace or the Princesses at Arkershus, she will definitely start her day with a bang.
    • Nothing says birthday celebration like a birthday cake. Contact the Cake Hotline at least 48 hours in advance at 407-827-2253 to order one of their amazing creations.
    • There is no better way to end the big day then a dessert party. Both the Magic Kingdom and Epcot host fireworks dessert parties.
    • Lastly, stop by Guest Services to pick up an "I'm Celebrating" button. You never know what magical moments might happen while she is wearing it.

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have any other questions please come back and see me.

Wishing you a magical vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
