How do I get a fridge for medication on a cruise and in a reort

Hey there Jeannine, I'd like to welcome you to planDisney!

Now when it comes to ensuring the proper storage for medication on any trip, my family has always found it important to inquire with each property directly just to make sure prior to booking our stay; luckily when we choose to stay at select Walt Disney World Hotels they often have the means of making sure that we're able to keep some of these most important items cool for us.

I was able to confirm with a Reservations Cast Member that guest rooms are often equipped with either an in-room refrigerator or a small beverage cooler, but I also highly recommend letting them know as you check in and as early as possible in the event that they need to source any additional options for your room. Two other handy locations to be aware of are the First Aid centers which can provide refrigeration and storage of medication, as well as the Baby Care Centers found at all of the theme parks.

When it comes to setting sail with Disney Cruise Line, you'll be happy to hear that as of my most recent cruise on board the Disney Wish, we were able to take advantage of the in-room refrigerator to keep our items cool. (Bear in mind that depending on your stateroom, this might not necessarily look like a fridge as ours more closely resembled a drawer that pulled out from below our desk area.) Some fellow seafarers have found it useful to be familiar with how to get in touch with the Health Center on board just in case, which is often located on Deck 1, Forward - but it's also important to consider that in most instances, guests won't be able to access their staterooms right away so you'll either want to aim for a later Port Arrival Time if your medication needs to remain as cool as possible.

Now it looks like you'll be arriving here at Walt Disney World Resort just in time for the holidays, so I hope you're looking forward to all of the festive fun everywhere Jeannine! The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays just kicked off this weekend and it's definitely my favorite way to learn about traditions all over the world and even experience the diversity of who or what "Santa" is to folks and families who come from everywhere to celebrate.

Here's to keeping things cool on your upcoming Disney adventures!
