Hi Irene! Welcome to planDisney!
I have two little kiddos myself and have definitely done a weekend trip to the
Disneyland Resort, so I hope you're ready for my tips! Before we get into the theme park details, let's chat about your arrival date. I see you're planning to come to the Disneyland Resort on February 18, 2022. This is right before Presidents' Day, which falls on February 21, 2022. You may get folks coming to the Disneyland Resort that weekend, so February 18, 2022, may be less crowded than February 19, 2022.
Disneyland Park is my family's favorite. I personally would choose to visit there on the less crowded day and save
Disney California Adventure Park for the other day. February also tends to be one of the rainiest months in Anaheim and can get chilly during the evenings, so make sure to pack an umbrella and appropriate clothing! The Disneyland Resort has
Locker Rentals available for different prices depending on the size of the locker.
Back to your question on whether I would do both parks in your time frame, the answer is ABSOLUTELY! From my experience, one full day is plenty of time for each park, and both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park have amazing attractions. At Disneyland Park,
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is A MUST. It has my favorite attraction of all time,
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. It does have a height restriction, currently at 40 inches or taller, so keep that in mind when planning for your little ones. At Disney California Adventure Park, the new
Avengers Campus is A SHOW STOPPER!
WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure is the new popular attraction there and this does not currently have a height restriction, so your whole family can experience this together!
Lightning Lane entrances are also now available at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park to give you quicker entry to certain attractions, hopefully resulting in less time spent waiting in line. Perfect for a family with little ones. To access the Lightning Lane entrances, you have two options. One option is to purchase
Disney Genie+ service. This is an add-on to your ticket or vacation package that allows you to schedule arrival windows, one at a time, for Lightning Lane entrances at certain attractions. The second option is where you can individually purchase Lightning Lane access for the more high-demand attractions (like
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure), limited to two attractions per day.
Whew! If you have any more questions please come back!
See ya real soon!
