Fri. Sept. 9 we will be going to AK until close (5pm) then plan to go to Planet Hollywood and then minature golf (fantasmic gardens). Will we have time to do this or is it too much running around w/3yo. What would be best way to travel (btw will have car)?

    Hi Jessica,

I admire your in-depth planning as well as your family's stamina! Whether it's too much for a three-year old will depend on many factors including if your child still needs a nap, will nap in a stroller and if the weather is extremely hot.

We almost always take a mid-day break back at our hotel. Certainly when our son was younger, a nap at the hotel was mandatory as he wouldn't sleep any where but in a bed so we didn't have a choice but to return to our resort. It still boggles our minds when we see children napping in strollers. Oh, how we wish our child had done that! ;-)

I can tell you that you will save a considerable amount of time by driving your car!

I would have your plan in place with the willingness to be flexible if necessary. On a really hot day in Florida, the whole family may want some time back at the resort to nap and/or swim. While I understand wanting to see and do everything, you'll benefit from slowing down and really sharing magical moments together rather than racing between attractions.

If you are too tired to go to Planet Hollywood, you could always cancel your ADR and return to your resort for a quick bite to eat and a rest before heading out to miniature golf. And, if you make it to dinner, you may discover afterwards that you'd rather go back and rest.

Enjoy a magical vacation. Some of our best moments at WDW were when our son was 3!
