Hi! Frequent WDW goer, will be first time to DL March 2015. How crazy should the park be week of March 22? Was told by a friend in SoCal that local spring breaks are around Easter. Also, are 2 days enough to do both ca adventure and DL? Thanks! :)

    Hi, Katie!

Your springtime visit to the Disneyland Resort is going to be wonderful! The Southern California weather will likely be gorgeous, and enjoying the colorful flowers around the resort is one of my favorite things about visiting that time of year.

Because schools up and down California close for spring break at different times (some always around the Easter holiday, and others during a set annual week in March or April), the resort is expected to be consistently busy from the second weekend in March until the last weekend in April, which means the theme park hours will be long (often 8 a.m. until midnight at Disneyland Park). The entertainment schedule will also be bustling, so you should have many opportunities to experience the “must-dos” on your list in spite of heavier crowds. Be sure to utilize Disney’s FASTPASS service when available to optimize your time, and check out in advance so you can pick your go-to attractions and shows for each park.

Since this is your first trip, I suggest that you plan to visit for at least three days and two nights to experience all the resort has to offer, from the Downtown Disney District to the theme parks, including Cars Land and Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure Park and where the magic all began, Disneyland Park. Fantasy Faire, a whimsical storybook village in Fantasyland, is next to Sleeping Beauty Castle and it’s an enchanting world where the stories of Disney's fairy tale princesses and princes come to life!

I hope this helps you plan, Katie, and that you have a wonderfully pixie-dusted first visit to The Happiest Place on Earth! Please write back with more questions as you continue to plan.

    Wishing you magic,
