Greetings, and welcome to
planDisney, Melissa!
Thank you for your excellent question, it would be my pleasure to offer some suggestions to help you out. I am not certain of the reason you will need your reusable ice packs, therefore, if I may offer the many thoughtful accommodations in consideration of
Walt Disney World Resort's Services for Guests with Disabilities that may offer further insight or any new ideas in preparation for your visit.
Melissa, while the current
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules do stipulate that loose ice is not permitted to be brought in by Guests at the water or theme parks, you are able to bring in your previously frozen ice packs or an empty plastic storage bag and then fill it with loose ice at any
Walt Disney World Resort Quick-Service venue once inside any theme or water park. At your Disney Resort Hotel, I would recommend speaking with the Cast Members at the Front Desk to see if they can help you with the storage of your ice packs. My experience with the mini-fridges in the standard Guest Rooms is that the freezers, if even available, are small and aren't necessarily in the freezing temperature mode.
If you are staying at a
Disney Deluxe Villa Resort that offers a full kitchen, then you will have access to a full refrigerator with a freezer enabling you to then conveniently prepare your reusable ice packs at your leisure. Accommodations of this type offer many amenities just like home - we have thoroughly enjoyed staying in the
Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts and hopefully, we will become
Disney Vacation Club members in the near future.
Tips:Don't forget to secure your
Disney Park Pass - Theme Park Reservations for each day of valid theme park admission and make your
Disney Dining Reservations 60-days before your stay.
