For the free waterpark pass for hotel guests staying in 2025, what happens if we have a split stay. We might stay one day at AOA/All stars then check into Saratoga Springs for our main trip. Can we use it on our first day of check in at Saratoga?

Welcome to planDisney, Samantha! It sounds like 2025 is going to be a great year to visit the Walt Disney World Resort, and I'm so glad you're planning to take advantage of the complimentary water park visit as a Disney Resort hotel guest on your check-in day! Let's dive into all the details of this exciting new resort perk!

For Guests who have a Disney Resort hotel reservation in 2025, they are welcome to visit a Disney Water Park free of charge on the day of check-in; if you are booking a split stay, this perk is twice as nice because you will be eligible to receive this benefit for both of your check-in days as each reservation will entitle you to this complimentary admission! This means you'll be splashing, sliding, or floating your worries away for each part of your split stay if you choose!

Currently, the Disney Water Parks are operating on a rotating schedule, so when Disney's Blizzard Beach is open, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon is closed, and vice versa. While you count down the days to your vacation, I'd recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements about opening and closing dates for each of the water parks and to see if they will continue to operate on a rotating basis, or if they might possibly both be opening simultaneously in 2025. For reference, in the past few years, Typhoon Lagoon Water Park reopened for the spring and summer seasons, so if this pattern continues, there's a good chance this will be the park open when you visit next April.

In the meantime, to wet your whistle for fun, here are a few of my favorite things to do at each of the water parks:
    • Catch some thrills! The Crush 'n' Gusher water coaster at Typhoon Lagoon promises lots of twists, turns, and drops along the way - try it with a partner or solo, if you dare!
    • Grab the whole family for a raft ride! Teamboat Springs and Miss Adventure Falls let everyone get in on the action as your twist and turn down the rapids to your final plunge!
    • Make waves! Meltaway Bay and the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool offer a chance to ebb and flow with the tide; grab an inner tube and listen to the waves lap around you!
    • Float your cares away in the lazy river - it's vacation after all!
    • Treat yourself! Visit the Happy Landings Ice Cream stand or I.C. Expeditions for the iconic Sand Pail Sundae - my kids get a kick out of sharing this oversized dessert served in a sand bucket - be sure to eat it before it melts!
Samantha, I hope this helps you to plan for some time at the water park during your 2025 visit; I'm sure you're going to make magic, memories, and lots of waves along the way!
