Hi we have the free quick service dining plan in June this year. We have never had a dining plan before and just wondering do we have to have the drink option with a meal or can we have it separately. Also does it cover alcoholic drinks? Thanks

    Welcome to planDisney, Samantha!

How exciting that you'll be enjoying free dining during your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Doesn't it feel a lot like magic?!? Disney dining is one of my favorite parts of a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, so let's dig in to your question.

Your Quick-Service Dining Plan will include 2 Quick-Service Meals and 1 snack or non-alcoholic beverage for each night of your stay. Each quick service meal on your dining plan also includes a beverage, and Guests over the age of 21 with proper identification do indeed have the option to order an alcoholic beverage with their meal. While this beverage will need to be redeemed at the same time as your meal, the snack/non-alcoholic beverage option can be enjoyed at any time throughout the day. In addition to these beverages, each Guest on the dining plan also receives one Resort-Refillable Mug to enjoy for the length of stay. This is a great complimentary option for morning coffee, poolside hydration, and post-theme park soda!

Although my husband is a firm believer that saving on one aspect of a vacation doesn't mean that you should splurge in another, we've agreed to disagree on the matter. With this in mind, have you considered booking an experience from the Enchanting Extras Collection? I'm a huge fan of the Behind the Seeds Tour that immerses Guests in the greenhouses of Living with the Land, and my family is super excited to enjoy Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour and Up Close with Rhinos during our vacation next week. Experiences such as these are a fun way to sprinkle a little pixie dust on an already magical vacation, and since they are offered at a variety of price points, there's something for every budget!

You'll be in the middle of the magic before you know it, Samantha, so I hope this was helpful! If you need any additional assistance as your countdown draws to a close, you're welcome to stop back by planDisney. You've got a friend in us!

    Thinking Happy Thoughts,
