I have a free quick service dining package plan, with hotel and tickets and staying at Pop. Is there anyway we can upgrade from quick service to table service without changing to a deluxe hotel?

    Hello Edna!

Thanks for sending your question to planDisney. We love to help with everything related to Disney vacations, and I'm thrilled to talk with you about one of my very favorite things - Disney food!

I'm pleased to share that you CAN upgrade your dining plan from the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan to the Disney Dining Plan. If you booked your vacation through a professional travel planner, contact them to make the change. Did you finalize your reservation on your own? No problem! You can either call Walt Disney World Reservations or modify the booking on the Walt Disney World website; I'll walk you through the steps.

First, make sure you're logged into your Disney account and find the My Disney Experience dropdown menu in the top right corner of the Walt Disney World home page. Use the dropdown menu to select "My Plans." Scroll down until you find your upcoming vacation package, and look for a blue button with an option to change or modify your reservation. Click on it, and select the same vacation package as before until you get to the step that adds a dining plan. You should see two choices for dining plans; this time, add the Disney Dining Plan to your cart. Confirm your new reservation, and you're on your way to a delicious getaway! If you experience problems, call Walt Disney World Reservations for assistance. Sometimes, you can't modify an existing vacation package online and need Cast Member help to finalize a change.

I hope you have a fabulous summer vacation, Edna. Remember to make dining reservations before your check-in date. You have a few months to prepare your wish list of restaurants! I tend to have more places I want to eat than time on my vacation, but if you're looking for a few suggestions, here are some of my top picks when using the Disney Dining Plan: Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom Park, Chefs de France in EPCOT, Boma - Flavors of Africa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, and ‘Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.

Thanks again for stopping by planDisney, Edna. If there's anything else we can do to make your summer adventure even more memorable, please reach out again. Have a magical day!
